This is a map made for classic duels where you are likely to find at least a few good players roaming around. Then if you really want to improve in the game, I would recommend playing lots of Duelyard. You should also try searching up the different moves you can do in this game on Youtube or somewhere on the Internet, and then practice them during those two weeks. Maybe a couple of weeks to get you used to the basic feel of the game. I would recommend sticking with a TO server for some time. But anyway, be prepared to be screwed over by quite a few things regardless of how good you are. Then again, I dunno what your block timing is like since I haven't seen it, but i'm just saying this merely could be the case. And also projectiles clearly hit their target sometimes because they stick into them, but they don't actually count as hits. But like I just said, it's not just blocks that will sometimes not work, it's the strikes you attempt to make on someone too. ![]() I have to say, on point 1, that could be due to the inconsistency of the hit/block detection in this game. How does anyone ever get good at this game? And how do I get better? I really, really want to like this game, it's just so. Until, of course, the next time I see Chivalry sitting in my library and decide "Hell, why not?"Ĥ. I hit them three or four times before they turn around and one shot me I decide to go Man at Arms because hey, speed This is how it goes:Ĭome up to and enemy, wait for him to attack this method may produce what appears like a "slip-stick" effect, an illusion that the game is speeding up and slowing down.īut in the end, your monitor is what really counts.Every two weeks or so, I figure that I should play some Chivalry. If you see FPS always pegged up against the 90 you set, go back and set it to 120.īUT, my guess is that you will never see ANY difference at anything above 60FPS due to the human eyes rate of "persistence"Īnother method: You simply set, bSmoothFrameRate=TRUE to FALSE (keep your change as written in capital letters, it may make a difference i am told). Go back into a game session and monitor FPS again. When you played the game before as suggested, after v-sync totally off, set MinSmoothedFrameRate=22 to that lowest FPS you were able to acheive. THis is what the parameters you want to change looks like (as default): Next go to: C:\Users\pc name\Documents\My Games\Chivalry Medieval Warfare\UDKGame\Config and open the UDKEngine.ini, hit ctrl-F and type in, bSmoothFrameRate Go back into the game and play with the stat FPS up and running, to get an idea of what your average "lowest" FPS is. Go into your video card settings and make sure you select VSYNC either OFF or, "OFF, Unless Application Says ON". Go into the game and make sure VSYNC is OFF, exit game. If you want to experiment this is what you need to do: ini parameter you are looking for to do this is named "bSmoothFrameRate" for a reason. If your monitor is 60hz, then an "unlock" will do nothing for you, as your monitor will not display any additional frames above 60FPS and may only cause possible jerkyness to frame rate, as the. If it is not and stays below that, like in the 50's and 40's, unlocking this will have no affect. When you hit, ~ ,and type in, stat FPS ,what do you typically see?. What is the refresh rate of your monitor? ![]() So please help, how do I uncap, did the update change the path? Then there is also another file UDKengineUDK. When I search UDK engine I get one in a PCSERVER folder. Well I can't find UDKengine in the config folder. ![]() Originally posted by Narek:I have searched and I come across open file UDKengine and change some things.
